Christmas, Baby

Aren't pictures really priceless? I say yes!  I love making sure I have my camera handy when the kids walk through and see the presents under the tree!  They had a very good Christmas.....WE had a very good Christmas.  It was nice and relaxing.  Everyone came to us and we got to entertain.  Santa was really nice to everyone.  It's a good thing everyone else was pretty good all year long.  We had a cute little elf watching us since Thanksgiving.  The kids decided to name him Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Abraham.  We generally called him Super or Super Abraham for short.  They loved him and loved finding what surprise he had in store for them each morning!

Do You Believe In Magic?

This may have to be a new tradition!  I had heard about this a couple of different ways, then finally decided to take the plunge.   So, how it goes is you show up to eat a wonderful french toast breakfast buffet and eagerly await your turn for a private family visit with Santa!  Besides eating, there are a few other activities the children got to do while waiting for their turn.  They decorated cookies, made an ornament and then got their faces painted.  They loved it!

And then it was time to meet the big guy......

They had a photographer there to take pictures, but you know me....I had to be right up there with him documenting myself!!  Lincoln's reaction was priceless!  It definitely made the Spirit of Christmas come to life!!

Preschool for My Little Linc!

Here he is...being a big boy and going to school. I'm pretty happy he's going. I think it will be so good for him and I'm sure I'll see so much progress! He wasn't very sure about his first day. I made the mistake about saying goodbye, that set him off and he cried pretty hard. It was a bit sad for me, but I knew he was in good hands. They let me know he cried for only about thirty seconds. I wasn't so sure how I was going to feel about him riding the bus. I decided to just drive him the first week, have the bus bring him home the second week and then by the third week he could ride the bus to and from. He loved it! I had to learn not to say goodbye again though. I can wave and say 'have fun,' but no good-byes.

He's 3

Lots of exciting things going on around here!  Lincoln has been participating in the Early Intervention Program for the last three years, where he is provided with in home therapy.  As soon as the little tykes turn three, they graduate and if they qualify, they are able to start preschool!  Lincoln qualified and started school on his birthday! Very intense :)
